Paul Dukas composed the tone-poem 'THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE', based on this story. It was used by Walt Disney Studios in the animated film 'FANTASIA', with Leopold Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. None other than MICKEY MOUSE is featured as the apprentice.
